Waakye is a Ghanaian dish of cooked rice and beans which can be eaten anytime of the day; for breakfast, lunch or Supper. The beans are usually black eye peas or cow beans and they are cooked together with the rice. Red dried sorghum leaves give it the unique colour. A long period of time is required to cook the beans. However, EFIRITITI waakye is a ready to eat meal straight from the can. You may warm in a microwave to desired temperature.
